SCRIPT PLAY Twilight in The West (Senja di Ufuk Barat)

1. SCENE 1: EXT. MORNING. THE FIELD

2. NARRATOR: FIRST DAY IN FIRST SEMESTER AT CAMPUS. NEW STUDENTS HAVE TO COME AT 6 O’CLOCK AND HAVE BRIEFING AT THE FIELD IN CENTER OF CAMPUS.

3. SARAH: Uhh.. It’s not fair. Why are we must so respect to senior..!!! I can’t accept this.

4. CASSIE: You’re definitely right. Oh, I’m asleep. Oho..who’s that?

5. SARAH: Where..? Cass?

6. CASSIE: That’s him,,,but he’s wearing almamater jacket… I wonder he’s our senior…he doesn’t care of us…hey,,he looks at us,,,look down…look down!

7. SARAH: (feels there is a thundering feeling in her chest..)Who is he? What’s his name?

8. SFX: WHISTLE VOICE (.........ringing whistle.......)

9. JOSEPH:  Attention, every body,,please make a queue!!

10. SARAH: Cass, come on! Run!

11. SARAH: Cass, I’m there…! (pointed a way)

12. CASSIE: OK. See you in canteen, for lunch!

13. SARAH: (what a pity of me...the shortest,,the first line....!!)

14. SUSAN:  Please make a good drill! And bring your tasks?

15. SARAH’S DRILL: (yelling) We got it!!!!

16. JOSEPH: Attention, PLEASE to all new students. You are here, for your dicipline. It will take for a week. For sick student, it will be signed by red ribbon at the arm. Now, please have breakfast. And you may sit down.

17. SCENE 2: .an hour later.........

18. SARAH:  (feels hot...) Hmm...Its so dizzy inside my head....why is it so? Is it because of hot temperature? Hey,,,its shadow looks...hey..its dark...

19. SUSAN: Hey, what’s wrong with her? Fainted?

20. STUDENTS:  I think so…

21. SUSAN: (YELLING) Committee, please help..! Somebody dropping!

22. IVAN: Let me carry her on the back to medical room.

23. JOSEPH: Attention for all. Back to march. (stabilize the condition)

24. SCENE 3: INT. STUDENT COUNCIL’S ROOM. AFTERNOON.

25. NARRATOR: while have a rest in student room

26. JOSEPH: Whom are you looking for?

27. SARAH: IVAN?

28. JOSEPH: What do you want?

29. SARAH: I just want to say thanks to him because he helped me when I fainted this morning.

30. SFX: NOISY VOICE INSIDE STUDENT COUNCIL’S ROOM…

31. IVAN: (SLAPPING JOSEPH’S SHOULDER) What’s up bro?

32. SARAH: (LOOK AT THE BACK SIDE, WHAT A SURPRISE) “He’s the person who helped me?”

33. JOSEPH: (POINTED TO IVAN) This is IVAN. Ivan, she’s looking for you.

34. IVAN: Yes, I’m Ivan. Oh Hi, are you healthy now?

35. SARAH: (SMILING, NODDING) “Oh, he remember me”

36. IVAN: What’s your name?

37. SARAH: Sarah Atkinson

38. IVAN: What department?

39. SARAH: Urban Planning Class! By the way, thanks for your help. Sorry,…coz made you busy

40. IVAN: never mind. May I know, why did you suddenly fainted, SARAH?

41. SARAH: It’s look like ummh, because I can’t stand up under sunshine for a long time. I will got headache.

42. IVAN: Oh I see. Where do you live? Let me take you home.

43. SARAH: (SURPRISING...) Um, but I’m healthy now. That’s OK.

44. IVAN: Ok,, Be careful on your way, we still have  two days left. So, be healthy (smiling)

45. SARAH: Okay. Once more, thanks for your help. I’m home now.  Bye.

46. NARRATOR: CASSIE picks SARAH up from the council.

47. CASSIE: (closing to SARAH) Come on Sarah.. There are a lot of things to do. Hey wait,, He’s the man who helped you?

48. SARAH: (smile) Yes. He’s charming, isn’t he? He’s not only cool, but also friendly.

 

49. NARRATOR: 1 month later…..

50. SCENE 4: INT. AT THE CLASS

51. CASSIE: Hey Sarah,,,look at this..There’s an announcement which looking for the committee of Student Executive Leader election. It will be easier to join  the organization if we’re join the committee...hmm...wow...IVAN is the  leader

52. NARRATOR: one day in library..

53. SCENE 5: INT. AT THE LIBRARY. DAYLIGHT.

54. CASSIE: Sarah, what’s wrong with you?

55. SARAH: Err Cass, Nope! Just thinking about the task for tomorrow..

56. CASSIE: Hmm...but what I see is you are not here,,just your physics,,you are imaging something, arent you? And this,,(showing kim’s paper) what are you drawing? Its an abstract...

57. SARAH: (smiling..) how do you know that? hmm..I wonder, I miss him...

58. CASSIE: He? Who?

59. SARAH: (tidy her books up and get out from the library)...guess what?...(smiling and walk fast).

60. CASSIE: (chasing) Sarah, wait! Whom do you miss? Ivan?

61. SARAH: He? Whahaha.. (shy dish face) naughty laughing…

62. CASSIE: (smiling)

63. SARAH: (well,,,forget it...Lets to the canteen...I’m hungry...)

 

64. NARRATOR: On second Semester.

65. SCENE 6 : EXT. AT CANTEEN.

66. CASSIE: SARAH, What are your field in this organization? I’m in Public Relationship. The leader of  Public Relationship is IVAN...

67. SARAH: I’m in Social and Action departement. The leader is Joseph. Our senior.

68. CASSIE: Why don’t you with me?

69. SARAH: It’s  more interesting in Social Action...(smiling)...Can you come to our working meeting tomorow, Angie?

70. CASSIE: Yes, I can. Three days, right...what about you?

71. SARAH: Yeah so do I. But, I won’t full days, I heven’t finished my school task.

72. NARRATOR: A month later,,in student room

73. SCENE 7: INT. AT STUDENT COUNCIL’S ROOM.

74. JOSEPH: Angie, do you see Sarah? It seems she seldom to come here.

75. CASSIE: Hmm..sorry. I’m not really know. Recently, she is often seen in library, maybe she has a lot of tasks. We take much different subjects.

76. JOSEPH: Hmm...like that. Please tell her to come here. Because we will do some charity at the orphanage.

77. CASSIE: Ok. I’ll let her know about this.

78. JOSEPH: thanks

79. NARRATOR: at the canteen.....

80. CASSIE: Hey, Sarah. Where are you during the time? Joseph is looking for you!

81. SARAH: Whuaah,,,feel guilty...There are a lot of deadline tasks, Cass...

82. CASSIE: Sarah, tomorrow, your Social and Action Department will do some charity. They ask your contribution.

83. NARRATOR: (TOMORROW).......

84. SCENE 8: INT. AT STUDENT COUNCIL’S ROOM.

85. SARAH: I’m really sorry Jo, I seldom come to the student room. My school task is so much. I think, this term, I can’t focus in student activity. I ask for your pemission, but I promise, I will more contribute in next term.

86. JOSEPH: Oh, I see Sarah. That’s our agreement. I’ll ask your promise in next term. Could you help me to mobilize your friends?

87. SARAH: oh, OK.

88. IVAN: Hi SARAH, glad to see you again.

89. SARAH: (smiling) You’re join with us too,,aren’t you?

90. IVAN: Yes (smile)

91. NARRATOR: Next term,  there’s guest from University COUNCIL inside student room.

92. SCENE 9:INT. AT STUDENT COUNCIL’S ROOM.

93. IVAN: So, your faculty will hold this festival in the end of this year, won’t you?

94. GUEST: Yeah,,seems like that. I ask for all Faculty Public Relationship in order to socialize it.

95. IVAN:. Oh, that's easy. Just give us your dummy.

96. JOSEPH: Sarah, please make the proposal for making flood camp, for tomorrow. This weekend, we will apply it to the lecture.

97. SARAH: OK boss! (GIVE RESPECT)

98. CASSIE: Somebody help.. (ALL OF PEOPLE SEE ANGIE)   

99. SARAH: What’s up ANGIE?

100. CASSIE: (panic) There’s a man locked in that room. The door is locked from inside.

101. NARRATOR: All the people is scattered outside the room., while IVAN is entering top floor that connected to the next room in a rush, then broken of the door open. Then, the girl is come out from the next room. After all of this, IVAN back to the student room and continue the discussion with his guest.

102. SARAH: Oh...him...(proudly smile)

103. MARK: Attention! Friends, we’re gonna have meeting in Friday night. Where it will attend?

104. JOSEPH: What about you Sarah ? Your house, I mean?

105. SARAH: Ok. I’ll tell my parents. Friday night? hufh?

106. MARK:  Ok. Thanks Kim. It will be started at 7pm.

107. NARRATOR: ..Friday afternoon......

108. SCENE 10: INT. AT SARAH’S HOUSE

109. SFX: KRINGG..KRINGG.. (SARAH’s phone is ringing....)

110. SARAH: Hello? Sarah speaking..

111. IVAN: Sarah, this is Ivan. How can I get to your house from the Supermarket?

112. SARAH: Oh. That’s already near to my house. Three more blockeds. Found the black gate.

113. IVAN: Ok. I’ll call you later.

114. NARRATOR: 10 minutes later

115. SARAH: Sarah speaking..

116. IVAN: SARAH, I’m lost. How is it?

117. SARAH: Oh, just turn back. I’ll wait for you in front of my house.

118. IVAN: Ok

119. NARRATOR:  5 minutes later

120. IVAN: finally, I thought I can’t find your house.

121. SARAH: What a far away...you are lost. Please, come in. Hmm..its so early time I think...where others?

122. IVAN: I had attended the show..Worry, can’t find your house, so I think its better  to come to your house directly.

123. SARAH: You look so tired. Please, sit down at the terrace. Wanna drink? Hot or cold?

124. IVAN: Up to you...(keep silent and be cool)

125. SARAH: Here you are. The other is lost, isn’t it?

126. IVAN: Somebody have come here?

127. SARAH: Yap, CASSIE and JOSEPH

128. IVAN: Joseph? (furrowing the forehead)

129. SARAH: Yap,,we often have meeting here. But, majority of my urban planning friends is often come here.

130. IVAN: oohh..

131. SARAH: Oh...I’m here, next to you..while doing my job

132. IVAN: Ok..where’s the snack? (SMILE)

133. SARAH: Oh yes,,please wait...
